Job Title:                     Representative Coordinator

 

Reports To:                 UPNA Board of Management

Direct Reports:           Uniform Officer, Equipment Officer, Carnival Coordinator (Rep Carnival only)

Term of Role:              As determined by the UPNA Board of Management

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Sets the professional standards required by all players coaches and managers in terms of uniform and behaviour, monitors and encourages where required

 

  • Update all relevant forms (nomination, player agreement, media consent, medical consent, uniform order) and  upload to necessary platforms (if required) for access to members

 

  • Organise rep trials with the assistance of the Rep Coaching Coordinator and Umpire Convenor and manage the following announcements to include: -

       .  Advise phase 2 players required after first trial

       .  Advise unsuccessful phase 1 trialists

       .  Advise successful players after final selections

       .  Advise unsuccessful players after final selections

 

  • In conjunction with the Coaching Coordinator, approve final selections to ensure players and final teams selected are deemed able to meet the expectations for competition, commitment, and behaviour. 

 

  • Organise and coordinate all representative teams including:

    • Nominations for State Age 

    • State Age – booking tent site, arrange first aid officer, organise food 

    • Nominations for one day carnivals

    • Travel and accommodation – if required

    • Team Fundraising; Advising of dates for team BBQ at UPNA                                                                                

  • Training sessions and times (in coordination with the Coaching Coordinator)

  • Formalise a costs sheet for each team to include one day carnival costs and state age costs

 

  • Act as a liaison between coach and player/parent where during disputes or concerns arise (or appoint further mediator where necessary)

 

  • Conduct all correspondence and financial matters as the Management Committee may direct; Advise Finance Officer of final costs for each player for State Age for final invoices and liaise with Finance Officer on outstanding player fees and follow up,

 

  • Co-ordinate Representative Teams Presentation Function with Coaching Convenor to include MVP and Coaches Award trophies for each team and gifts for players, coaches, managers, and primary carers.

 

  • Keep all player details as received confidential

 

  • Ensure all paperwork for each UPNA rep team is submitted to Netball Queensland within the set time frame

 

  • Attend (or arrange delegate) all state competitions and carnivals which UPNA rep teams participate in.

 

  • Ensure the Equipment Officer and Uniform Officer are managing their roles. Support those roles where necessary and escalate any issues to the Board where required.

 

  • Be familiar with Netball Queensland’s, rules regarding rep competitions and calendar of events 

 

  • Attend all operational role meetings

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Manage the formation of Rep Teams, Coaches and Team officials, suitable to Representative Program

  • Ensure all players are fully registered and financial prior to major events (or end of QPL season)

  • Management of conflict, queries and complaints are effectively handled and escalated as required

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Hold a current blue card or be able to obtain
